A comprehensive product safety program transcends compliance and incorporates essential safety processes into comprehensive risk management programs. My product safety program audit looks at current practices, policies, and procedures, and benchmarks them against leading industry practices. Audits identify gaps that present material weaknesses and expose companies to risk. The audit report is a road map for closing gaps that mitigate those risks.

Monitoring

As a well-established product safety expert, I am qualified to serve as an independent monitor if a government agency requires a company that struggles with safety and compliance issues to have one. In addition, companies may opt to use my services as an independent monitor as a proactive measure to reduce the risk of government intervention. As a monitor, I can identify process gaps that can lead to frequent recalls and possible government penalties.

Test Program Development

Product testing is essential to ensure compliance as well as safety. A well-designed program can save money and enhance operational efficiency. Test program development should not only include selecting the right testing protocols, but also selecting competent laboratories and experts for conducting needed tests. My experience as a former test engineer and laboratory director has provided me with relationships with a global network of accredited testing laboratories and technical experts.

My litigation support services range from reviewing technical files and advising attorneys on complex issues to serving as an expert witness in litigation.

As a frequent speaker and instructor, I provide in-house training to professionals responsible for product safety and compliance. Training programs are tailored to the needs of each client and are designed to be interactive and engaging. I use self-assessments and knowledge checks to help identify needs and reinforce critical lessons.
